Mask - Popal Vuh Museum - Replica
Original Circa 700 A.D. Maya

This wonderfully fearsome mask is an anthropomorphic expression of a jaguar-man
wearing the outer leaves of corn (the food staple of the Maya) as a cap on his head.

If you look closely you will see not only his jaguar fangs but the distinctive jaguar tufts over the eyes made to look like eyebrows.

Size: Approx 15" x 8"
Material: Patinated stone-like mortar or plaster.

$150 plus shipping, handling, and insurance. California residence need to add appropriate sales tax.
